Black Joy Parade
Fundraiser: le Diner en noir
On October 20, 2018 Black Joy Parade hosted Le Diner en Noir - an upscale fundraiser to raise money for the parades 2019 ‘Best in Flow’ award. The "Best of Flow' award will be a $10,000 award given to individuals, groups and local organizations who bringing all their Black joy to the streets to share and inspire others to find their joy.
Execution
Guests enjoyed a four-course dinner, highlighting four different regions of the Black culture, each paired with a signature Hennessy cocktail. During dinner there was conversation with D'Wayne Wiggins as well as a live band featuring sounds from ASTU. The mixer followed with a tiny concert from Martin Luther and a silent auction with amazing prizes including VIP Warriors tickets, a signed Steph Curry jersey, McBride Sisters wine and so much more. The night ended with a dance party overlooking Oakland’s beautiful Lake Merrit and sound from the Warriors official DJ D Sharp.
